d&a partners advised Meria on obtaining its authorization as a CASP under Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 on markets in crypto-assets (MiCA).
Founded in 2017, Meria has established itself as one of the first European brokers authorized under MiCA for a broad range of crypto-asset services, including custody, exchange, execution of orders, advice, portfolio management and transfer services.
The d&a partners team comprised Daniel Arroche (Partner), Sonia Mennechez and Camille Jerineck (Associates), and Serkan Güner, who assisted Meria with the preparation of the authorization application, provided support in drafting the relevant procedures, governance arrangements and fit and proper documentation, and assisted with the conduct of discussions with the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF).
